The Crowded Room is a late 70s period piece set in New York focused on Tom Holland as Danny Sullivan and Amanda Seyfried as Interrogator Rya Goodwin. Law enforcement has arrested Sullivan following his involvement in a shooting. However, everything is not as it seems. Through Goodwin’s interviews Sullivan’s mysterious past unfolds. And the facts are neither straightforward nor simple.
Another exciting aspect of the series is that this marks Tom Holland’s debut as a producer. Now, Movie buffs might also recognize the creator and member of the executive production team: Akiva Goldsman, who wrote A Beautiful Mind (2001). True crime fans might notice that a real life case inspires the plot of “The Crowded Room.” The Crowded Room is heavily influenced by Daniel Keyes’ non fiction account, The Minds of Billy Milligan.
